S Drive North Closure and Detour

Convis Township, MI – Work will begin on the S Drive N culvert replacement & roadway
reconstruction project in Convis Township on Thursday, August 16, 2018. This work will include
replacement of a major culvert, crushing and shaping the existing roadway, and paving the new surface
with hot mix asphalt. This project is being jointly funded by the Calhoun County Road Department and
During the initial culvert replacement, the road will be closed to all traffic. Once the culvert
replacement has been completed and the roadway portion of the project begins, the road will remain
closed to through traffic, with the exception of drivers who need access their homes within the project
limits. A detour has been posted and can be seen in detail on the following page.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODERNIZATION
THE INTERSECTION OF RAYMOND ROAD AND CLIFF STREET
Sealed proposals will be received by the Calhoun County Road Department at their offices, located at 13300 15 Mile Road, Marshall, MI 49068, until 12:00 NOON Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday, September 5th.
All proposals must be in sealed envelopes and appropriately marked:
“Traffic Signal Modernization: Raymond Road and Cliff Street Intersection”
The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals and to make the award as may appear to be in the best interest of the Calhoun County Road Department and the County of Calhoun.
