The Calhoun County Road Department (CCRD) has jurisdiction over county road right-of-way. Typically, this area is 33 feet from the centerline of a county roadway. A permit is required for any type of work or activity that will be performed within the right-of-way including:

  • Driveway installation/resurfacing
  • Tree removal
  • Utility installation
  • Ditch modification
  • Minor landscape
  • Road closure (parade, celebration, festival or similar activity)
  • Right-of-Way maintenance
