(Bedford Township, MI) – Work will begin on the Bowne Road culvert replacement project in
Bedford Township on Monday, July 24, 2017.
The Calhoun County Road Department will be replacing the existing dual culverts with a new aluminum box culvert just west of the intersection of Bowne Road and M‐37. This project is being jointly funded by the Calhoun County Road Department and Bedford Township as part of their Local Road Improvement Program.
During construction, there will be partial lane closures and a temporary traffic signal will be in
operation to facilitate travel through the work zone. Residents and visitors are advised to
exercise caution while driving through the work zone and allot extra time for travel in this area.
It is anticipated that this work will be completed no later than September 25, 2017, weather
