Starting Monday, September 9, 15 Mile Rd. will be resurfaced from Michigan Ave. to Verona Rd. The federal aid project will consist of tree removal, drainage improvements, aggregate shoulders, hot mix asphalt paving and pavement markings.
The road will be closed to through traffic while the trees are being removed. Local traffic will be allowed, but other motorists should plan to use West Drive as a detour route. The resurfacing project should be complete by the end of October.
Also, F Drive South is being resurfaced from 17 Mile Rd. to 22 1/2 Mile Rd. This is also a federal aid project, and will consist of shoulder improvements, hot mix asphalt paving and pavement markings. Motorists should expect single lane closures. Work is expected to be complete by the end of October.
